Am I an alcoholic?
If you drink more than you intend or want to, if you continue to get into trouble, or if you have black outs when you drink, you might be an alcoholic. Your the only one who can decide this. No one in A.A. will tell you whether you are or not. If you are new to A.A. you might want to check out this page.

It can be very tempting to substitute online resources for real Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. It is my opinion and highly suggested, to go to real Alcoholics Anonymous meetings where you can see -- and be seen by -- people in the program. We need the live, real, fellowship with each other. To find a Alcoholics Anonymous meeting near you please use our extensive meeting Information, or call a local Alcoholics Anonymous Hotline for a AA meeting in your area. These can both be found by finding the city nearest you in our Information, and calling the Hot-line number or going to the website provided on these pages.

GOD grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change.....Courage to change the things I can.....and Wisdom to know the difference....

This IS NOT the official AA website, it is neither approved or endorsed by A.A.W.S. although we do try and follow the Guide lines they asked of us. Please read the disclaimer.
